Capacitive touch sensors in M22 design

Capacitive touch sensors can be used, for example, as a start and stop button on machines, as enable switches and for opening and closing gates. Compared to mechanical switches, touch sensors operate without wear, resulting in an extremely long life and reducing operator fatigue thanks to their ergonomic design. Dynamic touch sensors detect an approaching human hand and suppress interference such as water, layers of ice or foreign bodies to a large extent. However, a gloved hand will still trigger them. Static touch sensors detect actuation for as long as the sensing face is damped. Sensors with the latching operating principle can be switched on by touching briefly and switched off again by touching briefly again. The housing with protection rating IP 69K is resistant to oils and also impact and scratch resistant. The LEDs visualise system states and actuations. Touch sensors, also known as cap touch sensors, tactile sensors, illuminated touch sensors or simply capacitive sensors, can be implemented flexibly in a machine with or without IO-Link.
