Compact speed monitors for hazardous areas

In many industrial applications drives need to be monitored for rotational speed or standstill. In potentially explosive atmospheres, speed sensors are used to safely detect standstill, overspeed and underspeed of drives or belt break on conveyors.
The compact speed monitors of the DI series integrate rotational speed detection and monitoring in one unit. The sensor head operates using inductive sensing principles. The sensor detects metal actuating surfaces on rotating machine parts, e.g. on toothed wheels or camshafts. The integrated evaluation converts this information into rotational speed.
The target speed is set easily via potentiometer or pushbutton on the unit.
The units can be used in zone 22 (non-conductive dusts) according to group II, category 3D.
