Evaluation systems with Profibus DP interface

The RFID evaluation unit controls the data exchange to the RFID antennas or to the sensor/actuator level, communicates with the higher control level and enables device configuration via a web server. The unit has four channels for the connection of field devices. Each channel can be used for connection of an RFID read/write head or as a digital input/output.
Applications are found in production lines where the units are used for material flow control, or in guided material handling systems for coding of workpiece carriers.
The RFID evaluation unit transmits the data to the PLC via PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET, Ethernet IP, Ethernet TCP/IP or EtherCAT.
